The Fall Festival was a HUGE success! Great food, fun games, lots of friends, and a total of $690 was raised for our association to help the band program!

Don’t forget that we are still looking for volunteers to assist in various ways with the Fall Festival! Again it will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 10a – 3p. Booth set up begins at 8a. A page has been set up on Volunteer Spot for you to utilize to sign up for the activity and/or times you are available. Please click below to access:

Please contact Jo Hanke if you have any questions about the fall festival. She is also the person to contact about booth rental – we still have spots available!!!! This is your chance to rent a booth and join in on the fun.

News! Meeting times & Fall Festival.

The Band Boosters will be hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday, October 24 in the middle school parking lot from 10a – 3p. We need volunteers to help assist with booths (a few floaters to relieve other parents, and a few to run game booths) as well as students to help their parents. We also will be having our own “Yard Sale” booth so we need donations (money raised from your donated yard sale items will go into the Band Booster funds). Other items we are looking for: Kid Meal toys or stuffed animals (in good shape) to give away as prizes. Please contact Jo Hanke if you have any questions. Her email address is jo@bearcatband.org.

A vote was held at our September meeting to start holding our regular monthly meetings on the first Monday of the month at 6:15pm. The next meeting will be October 5, 2009 at 6:15pm in the band room. Minutes from the September meeting will be available on the website by the end of the week.

weekend activities

Many exciting things are happening this weekend!

Friday, May 15 – Awards ceremony with pizza dinner provided by the Band Boosters. Following this, game night will be held in the band room. Please RSVP to Mr. Hogard by tomorrow, May 13 if you will attend. Pizza is free for band members & children in 6th grade and under. All others will be $5. Start time 6:30p.

Saturday, May 16 – Downtown Celebration in Brookland. We hope to have games available to play as well as a “tattoo” booth. Silent auction items will be available of which there are plenty! NOTE: If we get rained out, the silent auction items will be on display & up for grabs at the concert on Sunday.

Sunday, May 17 – Band concert in the auditorium starting at 2pm. Refreshments will follow. We need volunteers to bring food, so please contact Sherry Mobbs regarding that.
